Rent in the public housing program is based on the household income less any deductions that apply to your household. Your rent is calculated after your household has been approved eligible and all income and expense information has been verified.
Our rent is based on "your" household circumstances. It isn't uncommon for every tenant in the public housing to pay a different amount of rent.
Note: SHA staff will not provide you with a rent amount until all of the verification documents have been completed.
