Income Guidelines


The Schuyler Housing Agency is required by Federal regulations to verify income to ensure that all applicants qualify for public housing based on the total household income. 

Income Guidelines

In determining your income we work with your annual "gross" income. Gross income is your income before anything is taken out of your pay, social security, disability or any other income you may have.


"Household" income is the income of ALL household members 18 years and older.


The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) publishes income limits annually.  If you'd like more information on the income limits, click the link in the section below.

Income Limits for Continued Occupancy

The Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) requires the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to establish income limits for continued occupancy of tenants in the public housing program.
